The Great Yorkshire Show

Thursday, 14th July 2005 will be my first trip to The Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate. It is a 3 day countryside showcase that takes place from Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 July at the 450 acre site on the edge of the spa town Harrogate. Will be going with PILs, James, Lucy and meself! Hope weather will be great!!!!

What is The Great Yorkshire Show and what can we expect from the Show? Well, read on!

"The Picturesque Crimple Valley is the perfect setting for an event that combines entertainment and fun with the opportunity to see first hand the many aspects of coutnry life and farming.

The Main Ring is the hub of the shoe and within the packed programme there's everything from international show jumping to pole climbing, from marchin bands to the cattle parade. In the line up for 2005, there's the spectacular Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team, and exciting polo demonstration and musical entertainment from the Normandy Military Band, Queen's Division (will the Queen be there? You never know!)

Around the showground there's so mich to see and do. Take a look at the hundreds of animals - from exotic pooultry to the majestic Shire Horses; then there are the many demonstrations - sheep shearing, stick making, fly fishing... to name but a few, then there's the fantastic Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show, the Fashion Show, the country pursuits area... the list goes on they say!

The Show opens at 8am each day and the tickets cost £16 for adults (mahal nya!)."

So my dear bloggers! Does it sound exciting? I think it does and I am just soo excited! This will be my very first visit to the Great Yorkshire Show and for definite I will take loads of pics for everyone to see!!!
