How? Okay?
"Massy, boleh tak awak masuk ke bilik saya sekejap?"
"Ah, Boleh! Boleh!" aku jawab dengan perasaan degup-degap! Apa lagi nih? Aku tau aku belum buat the benda tu, takkan tu pun sampai kena panggil opis lagi? Iskh! Diaorang ni kan, suka nah panggil aku masuk bilik! Eh! Don't ngada-ngada okay? Tak Rated! Kita semua bersih!
Baca Bismillah sebelum masuk, pooh kanan, pooh kiri! Alamak! Minyak senyonyong tak bawak lah! Aikh! Minyak wangi pun boleh lah! Pssssstt! "Just wanting to make your room smell very nice, okay? Thank you!"
"Sila duduk." Dah duduk pun! Tak payah nak pelawa...
Bos jejaka mula dulu, "Okay, sebenarnya, kita panggil you ni sebab nak cakap pasal minah kat luar tu yang ambik cuti sakit selama seminggu lebih... Kira dua minggu lah kan?" Eh! Minah mana pulak nih? Oh! Si Dia! (si dia tengok kita, si dia jeling mata - betul ker?)
"Okay, begini, kau pikiaq betul-betul! Ia ker dia menghidap penyakit Crohn Disease (sesiapa yang tidaq tau apa itu Crohn Disease, rujuk di bawah sini otay?) atau adakah ianya satu dalih untuk ambil cuti lebih?" majikan ku tanya aku...
Hmmnn... Macam mana nak jawab ni kan? I'm the sort of person who would like to give dia the benefit of the doubt! Mungkin betul dia menghidap disease itu!
"Tapi kan Massy, kau tengok dia hari ini bila dia datang opis, macam okay ajer kan? Dia nampak refresh! Macam tak sakit gituk! Sempat jugak dia pergi Hairdresser dapatkan new haircut kan? Kulit cerah, semua cerah! Dan dia pun kata test result dia akan dapat dalam masa 12 minggu. Apa lama gituk ker untuk tunggu result?"
Nak jawab macam mana eh? Kepala ku dah buntu! Apa harus aku katakan? "Bos, ada baiknya kita beri dia peluang. Lihat sejauh mana kebenarannya. Kita janganlah sepat melatah kan! Mungkin memang benar dia harus menunggu laporan test dia selama 12 minggu. Kita tunggulah sebulan kan? Tengok dia okay ker tidak." Hai! Itujelah yang aku dapat beri jawapan. Nak cakap macammana lagi?
Kekawan, apa pendapat you all? Is she telling the truth or trying to skyve off from work?
Dalam masa dia cuti sakit, dia ada datang opis dua kali kasi bos medical slip dan kelihatan sihat, tak sakit tapi kesakitannya di dalam bukan luaran kan? So tak dapatlah kita physically see it! Iskh! Entahlah! Rakan kerja ku ada kata bila Minah ni kerja tempat lagi satu, dia pernah bedek bos dia kata yang dia sakit dan ambik cuti sakit seminggu... Jadi, cammana kita nak decide ni? APakah pandangan kekawan semua? Tolong habaq sikit kat kita!!!
What Is Crohn's Disease (CD)?
Crohn's disease is an inflammatory condition that affects the digestive tract - including the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, and anus. It can affect any portion of the digestive tract, but is most common in the ileum - the lowest portion of the small intestine, where it connects with the large intestine.
The disease is characterized by active periods, known as flare-ups, followed by periods of remission, during which symptoms diminish or disappear altogether. Its cause is not known. Crohn's disease may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever. Loss of appetite and weight loss also may accompany the disease. An individual's symptoms may range from mild to severe, but people with Crohn's disease are generally able to lead active and productive lives.
Treatments for Crohn's disease include a variety of medications, dietary adjustments, and, when necessary, surgery. In addition, patients are often encouraged to incorporate stress-reduction techniques into their daily activities.
Crohn's disease shares some symptoms with another inflammatory condition: ulcerative colitis. The two diseases are often grouped under the heading "inflammatory bowel disease." It is important to understand, however, that the two conditions are different.
Ulcerative colitis affects only the mucosal membrane, or inner lining, of the GI wall and is limited to the colon. Crohn's disease affects the full thickness of the GI wall and can occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus. A few individuals suffer a single bout of Crohn's disease, then go into remission and never experience another flare-up. Others suffer frequent bouts of active disease. For many people, flare-ups can be brought under control by a combination of medication and dietary changes. For some, a period of complete bowel rest (during which they are nourished with fluids delivered intravenously) is necessary.
More than half of all people who live with Crohn's disease will need to have surgery at some point to treat the disease. Surgical treatments include:
Correction of a fistula (an inappropriate opening through the intestinal wall) or fissure (a deep crevice in the skin around the anus)
Draining of an abscess (a pocket of infection on the bowel wall or outside the bowel wall near a portion of diseased bowel tissue)
Opening of a stricture (narrowing) or obstruction of the bowel
Removal (resection) of a segment of diseased tissue. -

nak kata dia betul-betul sakit ke tak is quite difficult. But since she's on prolonged leave frequently, I think your boss should have the right to ask her to give a doctors letter stating the illness etc..etc..especially if its as "chronic" as this Crohn's Disease! Yes, and wait fot the test results! Susah ya if you're put in a situation like this, boss pulak suruh assess the situation!!
entah eh, kat my office theres this girl who likes to milk her sickness. i think out of the 3 yrs i ahve worked there, i have seen her work on ly 1.5 yrs! betul!
Ini semua orang hypochondriac. Takde sakit, eksyen sakit. *hehehee* Padahal, sihat walafiat. I dunno lah. The disease sounds like something that is quite obvious, mostly coz it affects the digestive system, so I'm sure if she's genuine, you'll see her go to the bathroom more often than a healthy person. See if she takes another lengthy medical leave [predictably in 12 weeks' time] then it's time to be more suspicious. If so, why not suggest to your boss to pop by her house to check on her. If she looks healthy with great skin and another new hairstyle, then I think he'll know the answer :) But if she's not home when he pops by, then... entah lah :D
Anedra, I did told my boss to maybe ask for a letter from the doctor but apparently she told them that they only suspect but not confirm... So, kita kenalah tunggu for the results! Nak buat cammana kan?
Ely: Wat? Only work for 1.5 yrs? Your boss that mare ker? I think it's like UK also, employees can take sick leave upto 6 months as long as they have a sick note and a doctor letter stating they are unfit to work for such and such period! My colleagues friend done this before and within that 6 months dia go holiday! Ada ker patut? In Kalau in Singapore, No such thing okay! They baru percaya bila they visit you in the hospital after surgery!!!! Nasib!!!
HArtini: Betul! My friend who's a nurse pun kata she will be going to the toilet as often as possible, tapi dia tak pun? Minum kopi lagi! Wouldn't that make things worse? Entah I also donno whether kopi (caffeine) will effect or not! So far, belum lagi ambik lengthy MC but hari ini dia sakit lagi... I kesian jugak kalau dia genuine kan? Don't think my bos will pop by her house! We'll see how it goes!
Thank you all!!!
