What have they become?

Dear All Bloggers,

For those who commented on my last 2 entry, I thank you and I do apologise as I wasn't able to reply all of your comments. I was traumatized and still am, by what had happened yesterday! Though I wasn't anywhere near where it happened, I can still imagine the panic, the chaos that occured! I'm just Thankful to Allah s.w.t that I am in West Yorkshire and not in London... This is how I felt...

What happened yesterday was absolutely appalling, nerve wrecking, bloodcurdling, shocking, dreadful, alarming… What happened yesterday in London brings shivers to my spine everytime I think about it. I am so grateful that Kak Teh, Ewok, Susan and all the Bloggers who live in London are doing fine and unhurt and that their family are not among the injured! It was a petrifying moment and I can’t help but cried when James and I watched the latest news update on the BBC and ITV last night. Until now, I still have butterflies in my stomach.

How did it happen? Who is responsible? Fingers are all pointed at the Al-Qaeda, but only Allah s.w.t knows who the perpetrators are! Maybe they did it, maybe they didn’t, we’ll will only know until all the evidences are found.

I sigh and sigh just thinking about it! Thinking of how much pain and suffering these ‘terrorists’ had caused! I am just fuming at how selfish and how malevolent they are! It’s not right to target the innocent people! I’m just upset to what had happened in London or anywhere else for that matter – Middle East, Africa, Asia etc... Bombing innocent people is not the answer! Never the answer! All that I am able to do is pray to Allah s.w.t, may all the violence in this world come to a halt, may people don’t have to live in fear anymore anywhere in the world. May people know what’s the true meaning of P.E.A.C.E.

Some might say, “This is what the people in the Middle-East have to go through day in day out and what happened in London is just a bit of taste! They deserve it!”

They? As in Blair? Bush?

Violence and terrorism are to be condemned! It’s just unethical!

“Oh Allah! I cry to you! Why is there such hatred? Such violence in this place that you’ve created for mankind? Why does human being will only feel satisfied when blood is shed? Why is there such rage, such vengeance in their hearts? Can’t they see that what they did only makes matters worse? Can’t they see that what they did only bring pain and suffering? I beg you oh Allah! Stop this war of violence, stop this suffering! Let them see that what they are doing is iniquitous and that there are other ways!”

And I pray that families of the victims & the survivors will remain strong and united and stand-up fight against terrorism!

My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones…

7th July 2005 is a day of tragedy that no Londoners can forget nor the whole world!

Self-Control

The most excellent Jihad (Holy War) is that for the conquest of self.
“Give me advice,” said someone.
Muhammad said: “Be not angry.”
No person has drunk a better draught than he who has swallowed anger for God’s sake.

Verily the most beloved of you to me and nearest to me in the next world are those of good disposition; and verily the greatest enemies to me and the furthest from me are the ill-tempered.

Whoever suppresses his anger, when he has the power to show it, God will give him a great reward.

He is not strong and powerful who throws people down, but he is strong who withholds himself from Anger.

That person is most respectable with God who pardons, when his power, his enemy who has injured him previously.

Abu Bakr relates that he heard the Holy Prophet say, “Let no judge decides a case between two parties while he is in a rage.”

The Holy Prophet said: “There are two blessings which most of the people abuse – health and prosperity.”

Dearest Mas,
As a Christian, I agree totally with everything you say. Let your optimism shine through. In London, the mood is lighter than it was yesterday although just be prepared that worse (for emotions of sadness) will come when they finally unearth the bodies at Russell Square. *love*

I feel for you and having lived thru 911 and the days after I can only say somehow all returns to normal but with a different attitude. The sorrow is great. the silence is memorable. Moving on is taken slowly but if we did not move-on after 911 what would have become of NY or any large city in this world?

We have to pick up all the pieces and move on. Pray for a peace future especially for the children in this world!
